Highlights:

-Continuing our Seed Dispersal STEM Challenge. Students built a model using various materials to demonstrate one type of seed dispersal. Students will share their model with the class on Monday.
-Continuing our work with skeleton sentences. Students are beginning to develop a larger vocabulary that they can incorporate into their writing. 
-Practicing “Long a and e” spelling patterns – Unfortunately I didn’t notice the spelling site I gave to you at the beginning of the week cost money after a certain amount of days, so here are some other spelling sites that are free!

-Looking for strategies for adding several 3 and 4-digit numbers in a column
-Creating candy corn creatures for Halloween – Ask your child about their creation!
-Worked with our Kindergarten buddies to create colorful monsters and helped them to write different characteristics about their monster to share at the Sharing Assembly!
-Mapping out various cities and towns the students have been to on an Alberta map

-Back to Bach music presentation on Tuesday, October 22
-Fun Lunch on Thursday, October 24
-There is an informational evening for parents on Thursday, October 24. The new report card and assessment guidelines will be presented by our administration team.

**Upcoming field trip to the Gully organized by the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (1:00-3:00) – We need 5 volunteers. If you are able to volunteer please let me know through email or in your child’s agenda.
