Tuesday, December 17

-We will be having our class Christmas party on Thursday afternoon. You are welcome to send your child with a "special snack" for the party. Class treats are also welcome, but please make sure there is enough for 23 students. -We will be doing our Secret Santa Book Exchange on Thursday as well. This students are really looking forward to this! -Winter break starts on Friday, December 20 and students return on Tuesday, January 7.

December 9 Reminders

Reminders: Our concert is Tuesday at 9:30 and 1:30. Students can wear dressy or "festive" clothing tomorrow.  (No hats, reindeer ears, etc.) Bake sale is tomorrow after each of the performances. No hot lunch tomorrow. There is the holiday lunch on Friday for all students. This will be our last week of spelling before the break. Spelling reviews will resume in January. Bring new hats/mittens for our trees in the foyer. The donations will go to Inn from the Cold. The last day of school is Thursday, December 19. Please let me know if your child will be leaving early for holidays.

Secret Santa Book Exchange

Hi Parents, In spirit of the holidays, students in Room 5 will be participating in a Secret Santa Gift Exchange. It will take place on Thursday, December 19. In order to make sure everyone is receiving similar gifts, the students are to get a book of their choice for their Secret Santa. This may be a book you child would like to buy for their Secret Santa or if your child has one they have already read at home and it is in good condition they can gift that. I discussed with the students that if we are going to do a gift exchange everyone must be willing to participate so no one feels left out. If you are unable to purchase or find a book at home, please let me know and I will purchase a book for your child to give to their Secret Santa. Please wrap the book so it looks like a present and if your child would like to make something extra or add a card that would be great!
