Walk to the Gully

On Tuesday afternoon, Room 5 will have a community field trip to the gully with staff from the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary. We will be in the gully for most of the afternoon, so students need to dress warmly to be outside. 

Thank-you to the volunteers who are coming with us! Please be in the classroom by 12:50 pm so we can head out right away. 

This is the first of three walks to the gully this year with the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary where students will learn about seasonal changes in the gully.

Seeds for Science

Hello parents! If you are outside this weekend/week with your child, please look for seeds to bring in to class next week. Students can look for seeds in the wild or in their yards. We are looking for a wide variety of seeds, so they can also bring in seeds from fruit/vegetables in the kitchen or from seed packets. Please label the seeds in a bag, if you know what type of seeds they are. We will collect the seeds all next week to use during science for our Plant unit this month. Thank-you for your help!

Hello Parents and Students, We hope you are well and have had a relaxing spring break.   For the foreseeable future, together we are traveling into the world of online learning.  We thank you for your ongoing patience as we navigate this new journey and continue to take up the Alberta Program of Studies.  We will be providing learning opportunities & activities soon. Your child’s homeroom teacher will connect with you to discuss your child’s access to technology at home, including access to a computer and the internet.  Teachers will email students/parents or by phone call. We are also making a plan to address the needs of students without these resources and to determine how to support students with paper packages.
