March 30 Update

Hello Parents and Students,

We hope you are well and have had a relaxing spring break.   For the foreseeable future, together we are traveling into the world of online learning.  We thank you for your ongoing patience as we navigate this new journey and continue to take up the Alberta Program of Studies.  We will be providing learning opportunities & activities soon.
Your child’s homeroom teacher will connect with you to discuss your child’s access to technology at home, including access to a computer and the internet.  Teachers will email students/parents or by phone call. We are also making a plan to address the needs of students without these resources and to determine how to support students with paper packages. Teachers will also ask you how you and your family are doing and encourage you to connect with wellness supports and resources available within and beyond the CBE.
Wellness and Mental Health Resources
The CBE has posted a number of resources for parents on our website, including some guidance around talking to children about COVID-19.

Learning Resources
After spring break, additional learning resources and activities will be shared to support students in learning. We have created a Learning at Home webpage that offers a variety of educational ideas to support literacy, numeracy and wellness for kindergarten to Gr. 9 students.

LearnAlberta.ca – more than 4,000 digital resources aligned with Alberta’s K-12 curriculum.
My Child’s Learning: A Parent Resource - provides parents with information specific to each grade level
